Re: Dunlop Fasel Inductors For Kent

Somewhat off-topic, but not too far... I am apparently getting a Dunlop 535Q for Christmas, but my parents wanted me to test it out before they wrapped it to make sure it worked (I don't get it either, don't ask) and it has a Fasel inductor. I didn't know they made that model with them but the box is emblazoned with the name haha.

The right inductor is only part of the story for getting a wah to sound great...A wah is a filter,so the trick is to make the whole circuit work together with good components and sometimes some tweaking?

Re: Dunlop Fasel Inductors For Kent

Definitely. I'm not assuming that having the Fasel will make the 535Q an outstanding wah pedal, but I don't really need anything overly spectacular no more than I use wah. Now, if I was Kirk Hammet... ;)

Cool John, Thank you! I've got this and the other posts copied ... :)
See, I didn't know that one was a torroid design ... and the other wasn't ...
when I originally went to whatever site it was that I went to, they showed them both for sale, but didn't say what was different about them ...
I've got an old Crybaby that has what looks (that doesn't mean anything though) like the #48, some of the circuits in it don't exactly match either the vox or the crybaby, but it does seem closer to the vox specs.
No bloody idea on the pot, it's OEM. It's a crybaby from right before they stopped making them, before they brought them back ... It's high endy, but in a cool way, and very good for that resonant filter/distortion pedal treatment. I'll see in a day or two if I can snag a digital camera and post a picture of the guts for you. :cool3: Thanks again! :)
