Dunlop Slash Wah. Anyone have one?

I haven't been paying much attention to wahs lately, since I'm completely happy with the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe. However, this Dunlop Slash looks pretty cool.
Anyone have one of these, or planning on buying one.

Re: Dunlop Slash Wah. Anyone have one?

I don't think they are out yet. They were supposed to be out in the spring but the date kept getting pushed further back. I had planned on buying one but I didn't do it because of the questionable ETA and I got that other rackwah.

But I'd still like to get one cuz the specs really do sound pretty cool :) Hopefully the Q is already preset pretty high or you can mod it though.

Re: Dunlop Slash Wah. Anyone have one?

i was going to buy one last night but just my luck none of the big online stores had it in stock so i decided to hold off. i wanted to order from a big shop instead of ebay so i could return it if i didn't like it.

i'm a HUGE fan of my current morley tremonti wah so getting me to stop using that may be tough but this is the first wah in a while that caught my eye that i thought i would give a try.

Joe, don't even bother. I can't imagine anything sounding better (especially from Dunlop) than Fulltone or other boutique offerings.

Re: Dunlop Slash Wah. Anyone have one?

Slash is my favorite guitarist, but #1, I would never buy signature stuff and #2, the thing probably sounds like crap. The distortion inside of it is probably like a static box and because it is tweaked to deliver more treble and upper mids, it's probably way too harsh. The only signature wah I'd consider is the Zakk Wylde one because it has the meaty low end. However, I do like how the slash wah has the top load batteries and 18 volt power.

The Fulltone Deluxe Wah is just simply amazing and I really want to get one...

Check this one out :notworthy

Interesting principle, too. Rather than using a pot, like Dunlop and the likes, or an optical sensor, like Morley, they use a fader from a mixing desk:

Plus, it's named after an infinitely cool Hawkwind-song :fingersx:

Re: Dunlop Slash Wah. Anyone have one?

You can control the amount of gain/distortion it has and from what I understand, it's not like a metalzone or anything like that :p It's mainly to make the wah more aggressive sounding. But with the gain control, volume, bass, mids, and treble control, it's definitely worth checking out.

Did they ACTUALLY name it after the hawkwind song?
