Easiest to Bend and Warmest PLAIN Strings

Re: Easiest to Bend and Warmest PLAIN Strings

Not at all. Under means a part of your finger is wrapping further round the string - like a correctly rounded nut slot it gives more contact and less chance for slipping as you force the string away from its position of least tension.

I hear what you guys are saying, but I tweak the setup on my guitars all the time. Many times have I dropped the action on a guitar while I'm playing it, and I can *always* bend farther and with greater ease when the action is lower. No contest.

I guess if it works for so many of you, there must be something to it. But to the OP I would just say YMMV, and you should try it both ways to see what works best for you.
