Look quite nice, and since Gretsch isn't making them anymore, why not? I'm sure they aren't super comparable outside of looks and some features, but for $550 it's definitely getting my attention.

I would just find a Double Jet without the Bigsby (or a Duo Jet if you have the money) and mod it.

But apparently they are still making a Malcolm (still listed as "new" on the Gretsch site, the newer one is an accurate 'tribute' guitar) which is not affordable.

Pretty cool, I never know what to think about Eastwood. They do some cool and funky stuff but I've never had one tht didn't need some real effort to make it play even reasonably well. I don't know what factory or factories they use but they're kind of iffy.
