Re: Eastwood or Hagstrom?
Those Eastwoods look cool, totally 70's. When i was 16 i would've LOVED them and gone totally crazy for 'em...
I like the Sidejacks, the Mosrite copies...basswood body with a set maple neck seems weird to me tho...and the Jazzmaster tremolo on there...all could be good when done right so they seem like guitars you'd have to inspect in person you know?
Still, if it felt right and sounded right, i'd love something like this in the collection:
would look good with my SG and Les Paul and would sound similar to my P90 Strat...:smokin:
Comparatively, the Hags i've tried have all been 'great for the money' guitars...the Fender scale on such an otherwise-Gibsonly-guitar is cool to some people but totally turns me off hahah...still, i had two used ones at my shop and both of their current owners come back frequently to brag about how great they were for the price they paid. Sometimes I wish they'd shut up while I'm tryin to sell Les Pauls hahahaha
All that said, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they all come out of the same factory and are built by the same people so they're probably similar in quality. If you're buying site unseen from the internet then i'd just get the one that looks the coolest...just make sure you get it from a place with a nice long return policy so you can play it thoroughly and make sure it's a good one.
