No, no wah. The only things I put in the loop are delay, reverb, looping pedals, sometimes chorus and sometimes tremolo. Usually just time based and modulation (time-based also) effects go in the loop. Gain and frequency based effects usually go out front, while many people have success with all pedals in front of the amp (no loop).
