Effects of overheating tele bridge plate

In order to address phasing issues, I decided to run a separate bridge plate ground my SD Broadcaster, but it took some time/effort with a 35w iron to get solder to flux and attach the separate lead on the plate (of course I discovered this AFTER I had clipped the lead). I did get it on, pup works, but am concerned that I may have overheated the magnets... Please enlighten me on potential effects (particularly demagnetizing) of overheating from the iron on the pup!!

It's nothing to be concerned about. One of Alnico's strong points is its ability to function fully at high temperatures (400F or more) so it's extremely unlikely that your solder iron had any effect on the mags. Even if it did, it's very easy to recharge them.

Ok, but I've got to ask... what's involved in DIY recharging??
