Effects pedal suggestion

Hey all,

I've been playing with the idea of getting a pedal to use to add spaceyness/echo/size whatever you want to call it to passages. Make doomy chord progressions take the next step, have melodies sound like they are bigger than one guitar's work, that type of thing. I currently have a Phase 90 that works ok for this, but I mostly use it with leads and have it set relatively low, around 10 o'clock. I would rather have a different effect for this usage just to differentiate it. It would be used both with dirty and clean tones. I have considered a flanger or reverb pedal for this, but I'm not an encyclopedia of effects. Anyone have another suggestion for what would work in this situation?

For reference, the pedals I had been looking at the most heavily were the MXR M117 Flanger and the Earthquaker Devices Levitation Reverb. The first is well known, but here's a demo of the latter:

Also, I'd think it would be best to stay away from pedals with octave up/down effects as I already have a EHX Micro POG in my setup. It would get muddy if there's too much of that going through. Thanks for reading guys.
