Effects pedal to turn Distortion to clean?

ok So im setting up a pedal board using a Voodoo Lab 4 channel switcher. It doesnt have Amp switching and the additional units that offer Amp channel switching are just too expensive.

I will be putting one channel as main Rhythm, one as Lead tone, one as clean and 1 will be just Tuner......

now seeing as though I will only need 1 clean tone it seems a hassle trying to change my Amps channels too....my rhythm and Lead tone will be using the same channel on my amp but using different effects pedals.

Is there a effects pedal that takes a Ditsortion tone and turn it into a clean tone? (think Machine Head on A farewell to arms). This to me would be easier and ALOT cheaper than buying switchers that support Amp switching?.

so basic question can I make Distortion Clean by using a pedal as I will only be using my Amps Solo (Gain at 11) channel at all times?

secondly just how clean can they go. If your at Max clean from the pedal in the Video I was looking to go cleaner than that?

There are a couple of HE dealers here in NYC, so you should contact them and ask.

The maximum attenuation is 16dB I think, which is a LOT. I am running a single channel 2W amp to break up, plus drive pedals, in the video, and the Descend still cleans it up. I like a little hair on my tone.

So, the answer is: the more clean headroom you have, the cleaner the Descend will get your tone.

You can also fiddle with your volume control to a totally clean tone if you like (I do not).

thats a problem then...I am in the UK lol.

So basically am I just after a volume pedal?. That way it would work like the volume knob on a guitar and the lower it is the cleaner it will sound? If thats the case then there must be pedals from bigger companies like Boss etc?

you could make your own.

Basically all you need is a volume pot in a box with a true bypass switch. That is, of course, very very basic.

Another problem is would that Descend pedal work in the UK because of different voltages?. Even If I got the right AC Adapter so the plug would fit in sockets over here it would probably explode because of too much current lol

9V battery. It's a DC pedal, not AC.

Ah good call thanks. there are some on ebay I could Import but I have no Idea what Import tax I may be charged. Ive also added another thread about using my amps 3 channel foot switch witihn my effects pedals?. If this is possible then I wouldnt need this pedal. I could merely hit my Clean channel on my amps footswitch and then hit my clean effects channel on the Voodoo labs footswitch to get my clean tone?. This would solve ALOT of problems for me If its do-able?

Sure, lots of switchers also do channel switching ...

Awesome ok so a tiny bit of tap dancing required by hitting 2 footswitches to go between both amp channels and the require effects per channel.
