Egnater Tweaker Demo (bad timing, out of tune tone-fest)

Post whatever... your reactions, criticisms, tips, off-topic questions WHATEVER you want. I know the playing is beyond bad, but I wanted to throw in some fuzzy hi-gain sounds, some cleans, some dirt that the TWEAKER can make. It just so happens they're all mashed up together in this one, like some funky mash potatoes.

PGb in the neck + half the BB #3 with tone turned to 0 (intro), BB #3 (left side rhythm), Phat Cat A8/A3 bridge (lead and rhythmic lead) --> OCD (used only for Lead mid boost) --> TWEAKER --> Weber 1230-55hz 30watt in a Mesa combo cab --> Shure 849 small diaphragm condenser --> Echo Audiofire4 --> Reaper

No EQ or compression was used in Reaper, just reverb.

you might not be happy with your playing, and the mixing might not be optimal, but one thing is clear to me from listening to that clip:

you've got one pretty killer tube amp there buddy.

Very nice. Good tone aside, I like some of those chord choices.

awesome tone! good song ideas, interesting "signal chains". glad you are happy with that lil tweaker, makes me want my tiny terror combo even more for my fuzzy rock.

I wish I could record with blaring loud amps...

Thanks man. I appreciate the comments. This stuff wasn't recorded with the master above half way, in fact not even close. I just installed that speaker into the Randall closed-back cab that arrived today and it sounds a lot different, much more usable low end and less "sound flying around in the room". Just waiting on my WGS green beret.......

Nice demo! You've got a decent mixing of tones in there, I haven't had the chance to try out a tweaker yet but that sounds like it would be great in person.

I was reminded of the Foos as well, good choices

What tubes are you running?

Two Schecter's. A C-1 with the A2 PAF style pups, and a Stargazer with the modded Phat Cats.

Ruby 12AX7AC5 Select that's rated at 105/105 gain, and in the PI section is a Mullard Reissue. The effects loop tube and power tubes are stock.

Sounds good to me. How is it clean though?

The Egnater 20 is high on my short list because of the attenuator.

It's really quiet with the master down at 7 o'clock, but still sounds OK that quiet, just lacks dynamics. Like, I could get away with playing it super-quiet in my apartment at 1 AM - that's how quiet it can get. And when I turn it up it will shake the floor, carry out to the street.
