For those of you that don't know, direct-mount normally means the threads on the ears have been drilled to accept larger screws that screw down to the inside of the pickup rout-no rings, meaning the pup rings don't suspend the pup from the top of the body with spring tension from the top; they screw directly into the body with the spring between the bottom of the ear and the body. I know this is not the normal method of attachment which is why I'm letting them go for $50...
