EMG 85 High E-String too quiet

The high E-string is too quiet on my bridge EMG 85 pickup. The B string right next to it is much louder. What is the fix? Tilt the pickup higher on the high e-side?

yea that would work... unless you can pull the cover off and adjust the individual height.... or just get a new one :D see if it does the same thing

I thought you could not take the covers off without damaging the pickup? otherwise I like that idea

The High E might be more outside of the range of the pickup...you may have to shift the pickup in that direction a little more, unless the string is over enough of the pickup, it won't get the full output...

bringing that side up more might help, I dunno, but it would also make the B louder too....probably not a fix for that at all

What guage strings are you using? What kind of bridge is it? You could have the B string's action set lower than the E's.

.09's, trem bridge vintage saddles. The e string is higher than the b, because I don't like it snapping under on bends. Normally I could adjust the screw head underthe estring on a standard pickup. Wondering if there are any tricks for the EMG
