EMG Passive Alnico Clips

I was considering two EMG S1 pups to pair up with a C5. This is going into my HSS superstrat Heavy Metal Axe.

Does anyone have any EMG passive alnico sound clips? Particularly, I'm interested in hearing the S1 or S3 and H4 if you've got it.

Also, if anyone has any H4 sound clips, it would be appreciated.

I would never suggest them. They may be passive but they are sterile and generic as they could possibly be. Imagine a stock ibanez of some low end guitar stock pickup, without the hum and noise. That would be the EMG passives. I played shows with em and heard em used live many many times and they are the worst I've heard.

Are you talking about the alnico pickups or the ceramic because I played the H4a once a while back and it was terrific. The ceramic H4 was similar to what you described, but not that bad.

Good question. The H series stuff, like H4 n junk.

I listened to your "intramental" and the tone sounded pretty good. What kind of pickup were you using?
