So i ordered a set of emg 81/85 for my strat and im just thinking of my layout for them. Its a 2010 blacktop so its built around hums anyway.
I'm trying to decide between:
2 volume 1 tone with a 3 way blade (like a normal person)
OR
Taking out the blade switch, taping the hole, and using the free space for an 18v mod. Then pulling out the first tone and putting a toggle switch there instead so that i have 1 volume and 1 tone.
I might even buy a new pick guard and putting an actual battery box where the blade goes
I wont route the body and i certainly wont mess with the original parts because i still really like them.
