emg wiring problem with ke3

can anyone give me advice on wiring a emg 81 into a jackson ke3.
The problem is that all the diagrams on the emg site have a tone knob.
The ke3 doesn't have a tone knob. just a volume and a 3 way switch.

tech@emgpickups.com They are really good about answering questions. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago and they got back to me real quick with a diagram.

Just remove the two wires that go to the tone control, and run the centre lug to the output jack, like this:

i thought i'd make a picture of how i had the wiring setup and maybe it will help you help me.?

The way it's wired now has the 89 working with the push/pull switch up or down, but i can't get the 81 to
work with it. as soon as i switch to the 81 it is dead silent. it is also silent if the three way switch is in the
center position. I know the three way switch works.

i'm totally confused, so any help would be appreciated!
these are my friends pickups and as soon as i get them working and prove
i didn't break anything i can give them back and buy a duncan distortion like i originally planned.

i sent the same picture to tech@emgpickups.com, but didn't get a response yet.

Ok... I edited your pic:

The Red lead from the 81 is the power lead, it connects with tho other one attached to the battery clip.

The small lead inside the braid of the white lead, goes to the switch and the braid gets attached to a ground point...

Does that help?

Problem solved! thanks pinto.
The problem was that i didn't know there was another wire inside the the big
braided wire coming from the 81. I couldn't really tell from emgs diagrams. I thought those were seperate wires just going to that big braid.

I read that and had the problem fixed in ten minutes.
Its great to have helpful people around when a complete moron like me trys to wire pickups for the first time..
