EMG X ---> Blackout compatibility question

I don't see any EMG forum, but this post still worries me so I'll ask here. I have a pair of EMG 808Xs in my guitar, and would like to swap one of them for a Blackout. Is it a simple pickup swap like regular EMG and Blackouts, or does EMG's solderless system with active tone control somehow f things up for the Blackout?

The Quik Connect block connection format is the same on both brands. The EMG-VLPF should work perfectly well. The stock Duncan wiring includes a traditional pot with a capacitor. The only advantage with this is that it is possible to change the capacitor value to suit your tastes.

The only difference i will say for sure is that the Blackout is going to be WAY hotter and more aggressive than the 808X. Other than that, all tbe wiring and components from the EMG system are perfectly fine for use with the Blackout.
