Emi speakers good for Vox

Well, I'd guess the Redcoat series is where to start looking, but which speakers are aimed at filling in an AC30?

Anyone have any idea? I like that high end chime but don't want any shriek. . .american oriented speakers are mellower, so I don't know which to chose.

from all of the listening I've done, if i were to pick an eminence speaker to stick in an AC30 to retain mid range and high end chime one of them would be the wizard....

edit: This could be an interesting combo to buy... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/eminence-barkin-blues-12-speaker-kit. either this or pair the wizard with an american style one like the cannabis rex. What kind of tunes are you looking to play?

Oh just original music, nothing in particular. . . I think the Wizard would be good too. .

Private Jacks.

My bandmate just replaced his wharfedales with a set of private jacks and they sound great. Its their take on the greenback IIRC

I have heard AC-30s sound good with Greenbacks, V30's, H30's and even other speakers but IMHO an AC-30 should have a set of alnico Blues or Silvers to sound it's "best".

I wouldn't use Red Fangs because IMHO they do not sound enough like a Blue or Silver but they are pretty close and if you are stuck on Eminence they are closest they have.

I'd use Celestions or Webers if it were me...
