ENGL Savage 120 clips with the new tubes and all

I posted this in guitar shop too, but then remembered there is a specific section for clips :smack: so here they are again:

Okay finally got round to setting up my mic (not that its that good, but it does the job) and recording some clips of my ENGL with its new tubes and stuff.

If you go to my soundclick site here:

then there is a clean and a chunk channel 4 clip at the top and second top respectively on my song list.

They are done with my Jackson and its JB/crapjacksonsinglecoil/JBJr (HSS) pickup config, through my ENGL vintage30 quad.

Mind the playing, im hungover and theres a fair bit of slop...but it can give a bit of an idea how the amp is sounding.

Good tone and good playing, you definately have some chops. That engl sounds pretty good.

By the way, can everyone please post some feedback on what they thought of the tone...id love to hear everyones opinions.

I really like it. Some of the distortion is a bit bass-heavy, but it could be a product of mp3 compression. The cleans are much nicer than I expected. I'm really liking how the JB sounds more with every clip of it I hear too.

did u used the engl in that blues clip?

I suspect that one would not be able to purchase an engl in a guitar center of sam ash?

Anyone kno where i could find one outta of curiousity?

If its the bluesy distorted clip you're talking about then no i didnt use the engl, that was my pod...same guitar though.

The engl was only for the first two clips on my soundclick page.
