Engl Screamer 50 Combo

Anyone have any experience with the Screamer 50 combo? I am thinking seriously of freeing up some room and parting with a couple heads and a 4X12 cab. Since I mainly just write and record these days I am thinking I may need be practical. This seems like it would be a killer combo.

Also, take a listen to Marinblues clips. I'm very interested in this amp and I forsee it as my next purchase in the future (other than a graphite nut and graphite saddles).

From what I've heard, and what people have told me, they do a great clean and a great dirty. Ben tells me it great for power metal.

Great combo man, and if you feel you need more power for a gig if you get one all you would need to buy would be another single 12 box and then you have a great 212 setup which will kick a$$!

I've played this amp, and I thought it was awesome - except for the shared EQ's and the fact that it's 1x12 (meaning I'd need to spend more money on extension cabs).

If that stuff isn't an issue for you then go for it. Rainmaker - it does great for powermetal

Thanks for the feedback. A 1X12 would probably be fine for me. I have a couple heads and 4X12s I never use. These days I actually just use a POD XT for recording and practicing most of the time. A badass 1X12 tube amp would be fine for when I wanted to rockout without firing up a 4X12 and cracking the sheetrock.
