Epiphone Black Beauty - Yay or Nay?

I am considering an Epiphone Black Beauty for my next axe. For however long now I have had my heart set on a Strat, but after seeing it, I might just change my mind.

What do you guys make of it?

Very nice guitars actually. Just be sure to shop around and play a lot of them until you find the right one. Some can be good, some can be not so good.

+1 bazillion. My Epi jes needs new pups for better clarity...but it sounds better than several Gibson's I've tried in the general tone area, and plays wonderfully. Some of the Epi's tho are horrid. I played several that were real dogs.

Good thing about MF is you can return it..exchange it...whatever if the tone is not satisfactory...or go to GC and try 'em out first.

My main guitar for years, plays like a dream but will need a pickup change, and the third pickup is useless in the middle.

Excellent guitars. I myself just settled on the Custom, which is pretty much the same thing, except it just has the standard 2 pups.
