Re: epiphone casino

Construction-wise, it felt great to me. I too didn't play with it plugged in much. But especially with a hollowbody, you can work with the electronics a lot if the unplugged sound is good. I'd say if you have the cash, go for it.

Re: epiphone casino

i played one for a while and i also thought it sounded great unplugged. You will probebly switch the wiring and pickups but it is still a good deal.

Re: epiphone casino

The way I feel is if the guitar sounds great unplugged, who cares what it sounds like plugged in. If it sounds good unplugged, that means the wood is good and the guitar is resonant. That's a great slate to build off of.

Picking the right pups, now THAT'S the hard part. I may shell out $300 for some Lollar Imperials in my $500 Dean  (of course, if that guitar sounds as sweet as I think it will, I'll be selling my Gibson Les Paul)

I'm sure if you look around you've gotta be able to find something :)
actually i found Fralin dog ears :D that's most likely what will end up in there. got a black cover, though. prolly able to switch em fairly easily

Re: epiphone casino

If you want P90's I would recommend the Antiquities. I have a friend of mine that made a guitar, kind of like a Junior. He has antiquity P90's in it and they sound great!!.
As far as the casino is concerened, I like the Sheraton much better.
