are these any better than the other epiphones? the price says yes :laugh2:

yes they are. They have "real" woods, which means they are actually made of mahgony with maple tops. Electronics they are a bit better as well. Its prety much an upscale epiphone. IMO its no where as nice as a gibson, i would take a gibson over an epiphone any day. It pretty much fills the gap between low end epiphones and low end gibsons, as its a high end epiphone. For the price of an elitist custom LP you could easily get a gibson studio which is what i have decided to do eventually. I wouldn't blow 1500 on a custom lp by epiphone. Don't let the fact that tey are epiphone however, make you think they stink, they are actually very good guitars though, and if you find one you like alot then you should get it, ifyou like it more than a low end gibson. Plus if you add duncans to them they will be much nicer.

The Elitists are nice and I almost got one, but I'd go with a Gibson. That's what I have decided to do.
