Epiphone Les Paul Custom prophecy...

What's good about what's bad about it??
I've found one 2nd hand in good condition on Ebay for £350 - is it worth it?
It's loaded with emg pups and in trans quilt black. However it seems to have 'birds' or something as the fret markers which I haven't seen on any other epiphone prophecies... can anyone enlighten me why its like that? I mean is it just another model or....?
Would appreciate your comments!

Is it this one?

I own the SG Custom Prophecy. The quality is as good as any guitar I've every seen and it is better than about 90% of all guitars (including high end guitars in the $2500-6000 range). Mine came stock with Gibson Dirty Fingers pups which sound terrific for what they do. I had another guitar that came with EMGs and I quickly took them out. They weren't bad pups but they weren't special either, they just didn't move me. The only bad thing I could possibly say about mine is that SG's tend to have neck dive and with 24 frets the neck is even longer and the neck dive is even greater. That really isn't an issue with the Les Paul model however.

As far as the inlays, I don't know anything about "birds" unless you are referring to what looks like a double edged scythe blade. That's what my SG has. Some of the models have standard block inlays and some have the pearloid blocks with an inlaid abalone "V".

If it's in really good shape, I've never seen them for that low of a price.
I'd say snatch it up before it gets away from you.

Congrats. Yes, let us know how it plays, sounds, etc and how you like it once you have a chance to get used to it.
