Epiphone Valve Jr Head...

... anyone tried those?
A class A head for..... 138€?? Sounds like a cool deal...
So... how do they sound? CanI get some nice vintagey tunes out?

Btw... is this thing cathode biased?

Most reports are that the heads are great little amps and the new ones (pretty much all the ones for sale that are new at this point) are noise free. They can be a little fizzy I've heard, but not too bad. If you know what you are doing, they can be modded nicely to give even better sound and be quite the boutique amp.

there's only a thread that starts about every week here. if you do a search, you'd probably have a few hours of reading material at your disposal.

actually, I just tried it and they do appear to have blended in with historical posts.

i picked one up not too long ago... and it is worth every penny. Like other people have said many as times, a good tube swap makes this head makes a huge difference, as does the cab you put it through. Mine is in a Geezer Sound 1x12 with a v30 and I really couldnt be happier. And it takes pedals real well. Especially my Spina ts9.
