My new "PAL" models are moving along nicely and I still have a handful available...

24 frets, 25.5 scale, Ebony boards, tails and bridges. Full hollows, no center blocks....and VERY resonant!

$1500.00 - take your pick

PHOTOS are here:

Very interesting! Good-looking woodworking as usual. Couple of questions:

1.) Why no grain sealer on the backs? Was the surface of the finish sanded even after those photos were taken?

2.) When are you going to design your own original headstock?

The guitars with laquer only have the first coat on and were not sanded at all....just trying to get some photos up so you all can see how the woods are going to look....so they are in no way finished as of yet.

Those who have bought so far seem to love everything as-is.....but in terms of any true "custom" guitars....my clients can choose whatever headstock shape they desire....

Cool. That's what I figured but I thought I'd ask.

Fair enough.

$1500 is a pretty great price on a fully-hollow custom instrument..

holy jesus that green is nice! do you tape it off and spray the binding with a lacquer coat to stop bleed over? if not then how do you do it?

After the first coat of laquer on the entire guitar, I tape the binding and apply the green. You need not tape off the sides, as they can be cleaned up easily with thinner, in case any of te spray hits the sides. Let dry....spray a light coat of laquer over the "tint" and you are good to go.....sand GENTLY after.....than good to go for another full coat.

Man that #4 is so sexy to me... I wish i had the money...

Re: Equator Instruments - "student" hollows available

those are absolutely gorgeous. $1500 is a bit rich for my blood, but that's only because I have very poor blood right now, it's actually a good price for those. Actually what angers me most is that you didn't say "NSFW" next to the link. I could get in trouble for looking at porn like that at work!
