The DiMarzio EJ Customs are made to sound like Gretsch Filtertrons. I don't have any clips, but that should give you an idea of how they sound. Bright and twangy. I'd imagine you'd get something like Malcolm Young's tone if you put 'em in a solid body.

Most of Eric Johnsons work that has been done with HB was with a vintage 335. You can hear Clapton/Cream all over that stuff. He plays thru Plexis and real PAF's so its going to be pretty difficult to replicate that sound without having the real deals. I think Alnico II pros or Antiquities will bet you close though!
