So i was tossing and turning about buying this Axis for two days now (i've had an itch for one for years to be honest) when i decided to leave it all in one persons hands and ask Erik what he thought. granted i know damn well Erik is a EVH fan and a fan of the EBMM EVH and Axis guitars so i knew what his answer would be....but it's still nice to blame him for making me spend the money anyway LOL.

i just bought it 5 minutes ago and it ships to me Monday from NJ so it should get here to NY quick then i can give a review and take better pics. for now join me in drooling over the sellers pics of this beauty...

now i have to sell a guitar or two so i don't feel bad about buying a new one LOL. so check the trading post when i decide what has to go to make room for the Axis.

If Ernie Ball offered those with an optional Mahogany back instead of Basswood as well.

Maybe we should start a huge thread on that and get Ernie Ball to make em? lol

Nice... very very nice...
EVH had amazing tone when he used them on the For unlawful carnal knowledge album (yeah, I could just right the intials).
Then again, he always had good tone. :)

Congrats. Except for the narrow nut width (I have big hands), I think those are the BEST guitars out there for the money. Best built, killer tone (if you're into hard rock/metal), play like a dream and very underrated. A shredder's dream.

thanks guys, i'm psyced to get it. i always wanted one in straight black (not trans) and nearly bought one a while back. then i saw this the other day and the trans orange was just too cool with the flame top and i had to buy it...i mean Erik made me buy it LOL.

I never realized how thick the binding on those were. I like that trans orange.
