Hello all,
Just a curiosity, I was wondering what type of pickup was used in these? Specifically the one the good Reverend Billy G. was using back in the day.

Thanks,
FTB

?????

Maybe you could look at your post from the perspective of somebody else who is reading it that can't read your mind. And then could you please rewrite it with some specific information.

Re: Erlewine Automatic

OK, my bad. I didn't connect your question to the guitar (which I have never heard of) in your title.

Web site says the buyer specs whatever electronics they want, so there doesn't appear to be any standard pickups used in these. It's whatever The Reverend asked for at the time.

Re: Erlewine Automatic

dimarzios or duncans id assume, not sure what year the rev got his

Re: Erlewine Automatic

True, saw him live last year. He did some pretty amazing things. I think we need a Billy Gibbon's Guitar Tech in a box, laugh.

Re: Erlewine Automatic

Its more the huge dynamic eq......there was a rig rundown where they showed how it worked. They have the precise nuance of Pearly programmed into it. Then whatever guitar signal comes in is merely sculpted to sound like Pearly. Its like a guitar version of Kemper.

Re: Erlewine Automatic

its much more simple than a kemper, its really just a 28 band eq thats programmable. discontinued of course :D
