ES345 Pups

OK, I'm rebuilding an old 345. Help me pick some pups as the original PAF's are long gone. As a guideline my present fav in a LP is a Jazz neck. I tend to like a little beef in the bridge as I keep the treble slightly rolled off. Here's what's in my pile'o'pups:
Rio BBQ, Fralin 8.5K, Seth set, 59 set, Gibson PAF REissues set.

Money isn't a real object, I'll buy one or two if I'm convinced. Help convince me! thanks

Re: ES345 Pups

If you've already got a 59 set, that'll get you real close to the early 60's ES-345 tone.

If you're going to use the varitone and stereo set-up (like BB King) you'll want to reverse the magnet in one pickup so when the two pickups are combined they'll be out of phase. That's the way those ES-345 and ES-355 stereo/varitone guitars were set up by Gibson.

I removed that varitone/stereo circuit from my ES-355 and wired the pickups like a ES-335 instead. I don't like that choked out-of-phase/nasal tone when the pickups are combined.

In any case, 59's would be great...Seth Lovers would be great...Antiquitys would be great.

I totally agree with Lew & Benjy. My preference would be Antiquities.
