ESP basses - your thoughts?

Anyone own any ESP basses? Or not own, and why?

I played with a ESP horizon bass once. Great bass and as good as the ESP guitars (read well, I said ESP not LTD).

I've never played one. I can't find anybody who carries actual ESP-branded product. I've really liked some of the neck-through LTD models, though.

Never played one. The nearest stockist is about one hundred miles away. The urge to travel that far just to check out a bass that I do not really need is not strong. I am happy with my P, J and 'Ray collection, the odd Warwick and several Yamahas.

When I pick up cheap basses in GC to test bass amps or so I usually find the LTD offerings to be ahead of the similarly priced crowd. I think these guys (ESP and companies) know what they are doing.

In the longview, I'm thinking of picking up one of their fretlesses, maybe something in the B series...
