those paint chips are from droping the guitar one too many times. the cracks are probably cos of temperature changes+ dropping it
but the slices elude me

I have a guitar with a slice out of it like that...

It happened when a cymbal & stand fell over during a gig and took a slice out of my backup guitar which sitting on its stand.

Oh well, the price could easilly turn double at the end of the auction. I wouldn't buy it, even if I were in the US, just because the guy seems to be a little pushy if you know what I'm saying. I've always been a huge fan of the all maple guitar, so if I can get a ESP GL or an all flame/quilt maple body for the right price someday it'll be gone before anyone can even sniff it :newangel:

If the guitar goes over $700 used, I would advise buying a new Kami in mint condition that you can actually try before you buy.
As for the Japanese knockoff comment ... OUCH!! :blackeye:

Not intentionaly bashing ESP, BTW, quality is OK, good guitars (prices are insane, but that´s another story.). I just prefer Jackson/Charvel, Gibson, Fender or BC Rich to a copy that costs more than the USA original ;)

Aren't the ESP Lynches unlike any other Strats? They seem to play awesome, I'm defenitely getting one, but it'll have to be coming from the US of A since these things are hard to find around here and if you find one you'd have to be willing to pay huge cash.

I'm more of an ESP/Jackson USA guy. Although I (have) own(ed) various top of the line USA Fenders and Gibsons. My next guitar will be a USA Jackson Kelly though, that neck shape was made for me! The only other necks I like are the San Dimas necks, the speed neck just doesn't fill my hand and feels way too thin :smack:

Yes, they are totally different from a Fender Strat in the way they play and sound. They ARE based off of American made guitars, tho, like the old Kramers and whatnot. I think the Lynch models are a vast improvement over them, tho.

Those ESP's are great guitars, the Lynch models are renowned for hairline cracks developing round the neck pocket (They don't affect it structurely though). And with all that damage, the price is already too high IMO.

$910! For a guitar that fell off the wall at a guitar store! (that's what a previous owner said later). Hmmm- warped necks, broken truss rods, fret buzzing... bad things happen when guitars hit the floor!

Totally agree on the price, as previously stated ...
As for the surface cracks -- my Kami 4 has a set right on that spot!
I view them as 'character lines' :)
