Esquire HB - 4 way switch? Wiring ideas? Pure nonsense?

So, I'm taking a lot of projects at once unfortunately (or not haha), because they're all in very different phases and I want to keep things going.

I have a Squier Affinity tele which I want to convert to Esquire (tele-sized or full humbucker bridge, 4-conductor), sd hot-rails, dimarzio tele sd, maybe even go full metal with SD A8.

For now it has some cheap Artec tele dual rails TRA73-BK, 11.3K A5.
Not terrible for the bargain price, especially with some eq love to clean it up, but it will definitely be upgraded with a pickup as one of the above mentioned SD/DMZ.

I was wondering, since I'm keeping the tele-style layout (plate), I have 1 vol, 1 tone and a 3-way switch, how could I use those positions to get the most out of a single HB?
And better yet, could we creatively make use out of a 4-way switch for something?

I would also like to have a tone-choke switch for effects. This tele had a kill-switch installed on the plate so I assume that could be retrofitted for the purpose?

This will be a bit of a weird partscaster, it's getting a 24 fret Jackson neck, fitted scale-wise so it will align with the original tele bridge placement. The fretboard and neck will go deep inside the pocket because of added frets. The limited usability of the last two frets is hardly a concern. The idea is a full black metal Esquire (or an "a-squier" lol) with a Jackson neck and gold bridge and control plate/knobs, 1ply black pickguard.
Refinish, neck fitting (most important) and some screwing and soldering.

Here it is current state with the neck aligned to the required position:

And here is an approximate tele/esquire inspiration:

I went of on a tangent, but yeah. Any ideas on how to wire a 1HB/1V/1T with a 4-way and make it fun and usable?

Much obliged, everyone! :)

For a smarter pickup suggestion perhaps, note the body is alder made in 2003, I think?
The neck is roasted maple/maple. So, very bright, and considering the bridge pickup is the only pickup, maybe something warmer but with enough low end and tightness?

If you use a pup with two coils and four wires, you could wire a 4-way with:

Pos 1 = split to bridge coil
Pos 2 = both coils in parallel
Pos 3 = split to neck coil
Pos 4 = both coils in series.

Thank you for your help.
I'm more begining to realize positions 1 to 3 would supply very little difference for added switching clumsiness.
I've decided to go with a 3-way, it gets me the most usable options as that 4-way.

Duncan has this diagram:

I could simply switch out the 250k pots for 500k, right? Especially if zi go with a full sized hb.
If it ends up way too bright I could try 250k and different value caps.
