Euro Hamer meeting

For the first time there was a meeting of European Hamer fans in Belgium. Food, beer and a Jam was on the program.
As there are a lot of SD's in the house, I just wanted to show you this :

The Hamer distributer also provided a new Talladega for testing :

Man, that looks like a sweet time!! I'm diggin that LP Junior-lookin' one second from the left on the ground. Also the Standard.

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

We started with a Jam at my place and then went for a concert of one of "ours".

Of course we had to make it a "Hamered" gig:

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

I had heard that the first Talladegas were going to Europe, I guess it's true. So... what did it sound like???????????
This could be the first Talladega review ever!

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

I didn't had the opportunity to play it much, but to my ears, it covers about the same territory as the Monaco III.
It had interesting switching possibilities (4 way switch).
The pickups were very P90-tish.

I am seriously thinking on buying that guitar...., altough
I only played it unplugged. Others on the jam did played it plugged in. I'll have another test next week.

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

Very, Very nice! Glad you guys had a great time (from a fellow Hamer lover here in the States).:bigok:

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

Looks like a good time was had by all. As a Hamer USA Daytona owner, I'd love to do something similar here in the US. Where is Hamer's factory located? Maybe they will consider doing a Hamer Owners Day... ;)

That's an early Prototype. I'm getting ready to finish up a Prototype project myself. Got a creme Brobucker and I'm ready to install a creme DiMarzio HS-3 to match. Triple cremes, baby.

BTW, Conrad, awesome pictures. Almost makes me wish I lived in Europe so I could have been there.

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

This whole thing was in fact a bad idea, I promised myself not to buy any more guitars, and now I have an appointment to test out the Talladega today.

Re: Euro Hamer meeting

And I ended up buying it....

The sound of the neck pickup is a really fat P-90 and the bridge is like a Tele on steroids.

Love it !!!!!
