Eventide Dirt

Everyone loves Eventide reverbs and pitch shifting but their dirt is tremendously underrated IMO. I have an H90 and the CrushStation and WeedWhacker both sound amazing, especially with single coils. I have a strat style guitar loaded with the classic SSL1-SSL1-SSL5 setup and the lead tone with the Decapod Muff algorithm into the MicroPitch setting out into my Eventide Rose for delay is some of the best lead tones I’ve ever had into a clean amp. I guess this is a just PSA that I don’t hear a lot about people using the dirt on their H series effects but there’s some very pleasing tones in there. Very smooth and with none of the digital artifacts you’d expect.

I was just thinking about this today. My band is doing 7 Nation Army by the White Stripes, so I just added my MXR Blue Box to the board for that song. However, I was thinking this afternoon I could simply program an octave fuss in the H90 that would be even closer. So far the Fra Diavolo has been my favorite dirt algorithm.

I agree. It’s so customizable but hard to
find a bad sound in, which is a tough trick to pull off.

Haven't experimented much with the dirt in my H9.
Will check out Fra Diavolo and Weedwacker..
