ever heard of lawson guitars?

Re: ever heard of lawson guitars?

I think this may be one of those cases of an Importer having their name put on a large order, hence the quite basic font and printing. It's probably Korean, or Chinese. If Korean, probably made by KHL, if Chinese probably the same factory that makes a load of the US market-edge brand Stratolikes. Don't panic, these can be very good guitars. It's the small factories you have to be ware of, not the guys with the $200,000 CNC tooled factories.

I keep a file of sites for Asian Mfr'd guitar sites. I'll troll through tomorrow, and see if I can spot whose range these came out of. If indeed that's what these are.

Thanks -

I'm thinking about getting one for the hell of it - it only costs $160.

Oh at that price I'm 99% sure I've hit the nail on the head.

I'll still check it out though.

OK,

I basically turned up nothing!

Well at least with that paint job, it isn't standard issue with any of the Asian companies I can find. But I swear I've seen one on an Asian manufacturers site, and I'm pretty sure it was a company in Hong Kong.

Thanks for looking. I emailed a past buyer of one of these guitars and he said:
"Hi, you are the 3rd person to inquire. LOL I like the guitar alot. I had to lower the Floyd Rose tremolo all the way to make the action faster and I oiled the neck because it comes dry. Overall, a pretty decent guitar for the price. Hope that helped"

I emailed him again to find out if there were any fret overhang (sharp edges).....but so far all in all nothing a setup could fix...
stay tuned......
