Snake Aces
Singlecut Slut
I recently saw the thread about custom engraved neckplates (even though I can't seem to locate that thread now) and was amazed I found someone who did that!! I had been thinking about the "what ifs" for months now, but couldn't find anybody that would do such a thing. Low and behold, there is never any need to look further than the SD forums (as usual).
So I got ahold of Andrew ( user name andrizzle ) and simply gave him the description of the idea I've had. I'm not an artist (well, non-musically speaking) by any means, so all Andrew had to work with was my words and trust.
We talked about the details and agreed on a price if I even liked what he came up with ( talk about trust and confidence on his end!!). He sent me a rough draft that he came up with in CorelDraw (correct me if I'm wrong bro) THAT VERY SAME DAY!! I had to say it was amazing, I couldn't believe how fast he was able to work on it and the quality and care put into his work. You can really tell he's a master of his craft.
So I told him to go ahead and do it. He had it done in no time and it's already at my door. It hasn't even been a week yet. Amazing.
Anyways, here it is on my Strat:
It was difficult to take the photo, naturally, but I think I got a good enough angle and close enough to reveal the incredible detail!! It's a very, very reflective gold surface ( he used a high quality StewMac neckplate which is way better than expected for the low price he charged for all this) but with a bright enough light and no flash, I think I captured it's flawless beauty.
So there it is. It's 1000 times better than I ever dreamed of and I am proud of it. This is the backbone, the bawls if you will, of my guitar's soul. It's that little rarely seen by you, but meaningful to me piece that I wanted to be 100% unique. I got more than I expected.
Seriously, everybody should look into having some engraving work done by Andrew. His service is incredible, his communication is professional and obviously his work speaks for itself. He's a real stand up guy and I guarantee you will be satisfied.
Anybody else that get's work done should post pics of it in this thread and maybe we could even get a sticky on it to help him out. I think he's got a great business in the works and who better to help him out than SD forum bros ( and the ladies, if there ever are any!!).
Thanks for your time.
