I played some riffs on both channels. All boosted with the OCD. Which channel do you prefer?

The chain:
Gibson LesPaul Studio, Seymour Duncan JB
Fulltone OCD : level on max, drive on min, tone at noon, LP
EVH 5150 III 50 watt
Orange PPC112, SM57
Preamp out to Catharsis and Choptones impulse responses

My vote goes to the blue channel over the red channel

Re: EVH 5150III. Fulltone OCD. Orange PPC112 metal demo

both are pretty good. I would use both styles in different places or stereo blend
-I like that mid range growl of Red and Smoothness of the blue

The 5150 III 50w is known for it's red channel's, smooth, compressed and gainy sound.

While the amp's blue channel is known for it's wide midrange voicing with much less compression.

I used to own an OCD clone and tried for a year to use it with my EVH 100w but I never ever got it to sound good. Pretty impressed with how good they sound in your demo there.
