There was some talk about this not too long ago, I don't think it was hear though. Anyone know if there is any truth to EVH and Fender designing his new amp or anything? I believe Charvel is owned by Fender, so maybe?

Thanks!

Re: EVH and Fender?

Yes, Fender owns Charvel, so they are making his guitar. I haven't heard about the amp.

Re: EVH and Fender?

I heard Marshall was being the next maker of the EVH amp line but some said that Jim Marshall stopped that Romour... It will be interesting to see who he goes with next. I like the 5150 amps! They are Beasts!

Yet another rumor regarding who would make his amps next, was Crate. So who knows :laugh2:.

Re: EVH and Fender?

What I'd like to hear is less rumors and more playing from Eddie...

That's the best thing I've heard all day.

True....BUT!!!!

Now that he's back with the Charvel guitars, he should go full circle:

1) Get back to using cranked Marshalls (or get some Splawn amps)
2) Take it easy on the drinking (he was **** faced in Montreal last year!)
3) Get rid of Sammy and bring back Dave, which everybody wants!

All together now: BRING BACK DAVE! BRING BACK DAVE! BRING BACK DAVE!

:laugh2:

Uh oh! I probably just started another Dave VS Sammy war! :smack:

Yes, I think you did (refer to signature). As far as the drinking, I don't think he was drunk so much as high when he came to Little Rock. He got stuck in this little riff during his big solo and he just kept playing it over and over. People were starting to get bored and were getting up to go to the bathroom and stuff. He finally stopped, walked over to the mic, and said (in the most stoned way I've heard) "Man, that was f***in' weird." Then he just went back to playing. It was the worst of his solos I've ever heard. He did much better in Dallas the next night.

When I say worst, he was still better than 99% of guitarists.
