EVH charvels at AMS

Re: EVH charvels at AMS

$2600 for a single pup guitar that I'll probably only play at home? Nah- I think I'll pass.

Re: EVH charvels at AMS

I think that is pretty reasonable considering EVH personally stripes the guitars and each one is absolutely one of a kind. That is less expensive than a Zakk Wylde Les Paul and you are getting something that EVH did more than get an endorsement check for...

I agree that it would be ridiculous if that was just a run of the mill single humbucker basswood strat but it isn't. That guitar truly is going to only go up in value. I may buy a couple!

Re: EVH charvels at AMS

Err, I don't think they'd be selling the ones handpainted by Eddie.

The real handpainted EVH charvels are going to sell for quite a bit more than $2,600

Re: EVH charvels at AMS

Yea, i think you are right. I read the Charvel site more closely. they are only making 30 of the limited edition EVH hand-striped guitars so these obviously aren't that... I agree with everyone now- complete rip-off.

Agreed. Don't the real ones come with a matching Harley as well? :laugh2: I believe they're going for $10-15k. :laugh2:

Re: EVH charvels at AMS

Lol,

Not sure if you get a matching Harley with each one, I think you have to be the biggest bidder (or moron :) ) on ebay to win the Harley.

Ya know, if the price comes down after all hysteria settles, I wouldn't mind a red, white and black one.

Then again, the parts are so generic on these guitars that it's going to be hard to justify the price.

I bet Charvel are probably going to be doing a 2 for 1 deal in a couple of years time.

Personally, I'd be happy with one of these for $399.

+1! I wonder what they're asking for the 5150 graphics?

I think this should be the 'real' promo from the marketing guys at Charvel.

"the parts bin speacial' made by charvel under special request of EVH as cheap publicity for the new Best of VH CD. Also available, the limited edition, which includes 'crayon markings and signature' by Ed himself.

Jeez Ed, I can't believe you need the cash, so stop the funky deals and play some good music.

ugly pieces of basswood ... and only one pup also >.< least to say, not my cup of tea, but if someone wants to pay that price for it, he should buy me a jackson too .. they obviously have the money to spare

These are production guitars. The Artist Series you are referring to are limited to I believe 100 of each paint job. and certainly wouldn't be sold through a high volume chain.
