I own both of these amps and i love both the EVH MINI and the EVH LBX ,personally the lbx 15 head blue channel is one of "if not the best tone" ive ever had for high gain.its very clear and tight.I thought i would do a demo of the red channels on both heads as ive already covered the BLUE channels in a previous comparison video.

There is a difference in price and slight difference in tone especially in the room....i guess its a matter of taste and also whether you need the added features of the Mini. The MINI has midi control options, headphone out,pre amp out and also a green channel which is clean....

I've played both and listened to your videos, and still think the 50w is better. I don't like the LBX, but I can see how you might prefer it for DJENT stuff because of the way the mids stand out in a recording.

You know I've been wanting not needing a new amp. I actually purchased the 50 watt and 2 x 12 cabinet. I returned it in 4 days as I like my Krank Revolution 1 better. Better cleans and better Gain Channel. The 50 watt to me was broke with the damn volume jump between the clean and crunch channel.

So I started trying other amps and went up and down the Blackstar line up from HT , Metal and the series 1. Then I dug into the Mesa Boogie line as thats the amp I was going to buy before I found the Krank back in 2006.
Out of all the amps I have tried so far the EVH 50 watt sounded better then all of them. If that Damn OD and clean channel didn't share a volume and tone controls, I would be all over this amp again. The 100 Watt head would probably be a better fit but no Midi control. How dumb is that? They should have released a new version of the 100 watt head with Mid control. It just makes total sense when you have 3 channels and want to run different effects in the loop and out front.

Nice tone man, what's in the cabinet your playing? I tried the EVH 50 watt head on my Krank cab with Eminence Legends speakers and it sounded much better then the G12's or whatever those modified Celeston speakers are in the EVH. Deep tone, cleaner cleans and more of a nicer Rock tone out of the Crunch channel.
