EVH Wah

Re: EVH Wah

That's going a little far eh?

When has Eddie EVER used a wah pedal???

On like one song right?

:31:

Re: EVH Wah

I saw him use it quite a bit in concert recently. It sounded nice, but nothing any other crybaby couldn't do. I never heard it on many recordings of his

Re: EVH Wah

anyone have a list of VH songs where Ed actually uses a wah?? all i can think of is Runaround.

i do like the two blue LEDs though, gotta be honest about that hehehe.

Re: EVH Wah

The Phase 90 ... makes sense.
The flanger ... sure.
The wah ... that's a bit of a stretch.

What's next, the EVH tremolo?

Re: EVH Wah

It's nice to see a man milking his legacy rather than producing any new, original material.

On another note, the range of every single signature Dunlop wah I've tried can pretty much be covered by the 535 and 535Q. What a crock! Put out NEW pedals, not signature ones!

Re: EVH Wah

Things I would like to see:

The EVH striped coke straw
EVH Lager
EVH Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers
EVH 5150 Meth Lab theme park

Re: EVH Wah

This is just plain dumb. MXR doesn't have to treat us like idiots thinking we'll buy something because EVH gives his name to it.

Anyone who likes EVH enough to care in the first place knows he wasn't exactly known for his wah sounds.

Anyone who doesn't know who EVH is won't care in the slighest that it says EVH

Show us a little respect MXR. If you want to offer a new wah pedal, simply offer a new wah pedal. Say its based on a crybaby, its got LED's, paint in yellow even. If it sounds good it will sell.

Does the new Carbon Copy still draw lots of attention even though theres no endorsment ? Sure does, because its a well thought out pedal with features guitarist want at a fair price.

Gee what a concept huh, selling something on the basis of the product itself.

I know right?!

How many "different" Dunlop wahs are there now? Two dozen? It's stupid! 20 years ago when I started playing I think they had three. A regular Crybaby, a Jimi... I sorta recall when the 535 was new & THAT was a big deal! Having all those modes & variable Q....

So this EVH wah is based on a regular 90's era Crybaby that's "worn in"? What a crock! The LED's are pretty cool...

But I've never had a problem figuring out if the wah is on or not... I mean, isn't that kind of obvious???

Re: EVH Wah

I'd like to know when they're going to update the design so that you can actually get a longer sweep out of one with smoother action. I always find that they are too abrupt in their movements. Hence why I have a Morley...
