thats what i got in my charvel, and i dont like it. the evo is too hot for me, so im getting a paf pro. you better make sure your friend's guitar skills are exceptional because the evo will show every little mistake he makes, and it will laugh at him in the face when he does. i just dont like it, but maybe you're friend will. you always got the exchange system, which is great

I used to own an EVO. I took it out of my "S" series Ibanez (ouch!!), and put it in my hardtail Charvel.
Wow....what a difference. Still too harsh, though, in spite of the "medium" resistance ratings (13k, I think?).
It would've been neat, looking back on it, to throw an Alnico 5 in there. Truly.
