Exchange pickups on flying vee

Hi folks! I'd like to know if you think it's possible to exchange the neck humbucker with a single coil in the Flying Vee kv2 (jackson).

I'm asking this since it doesn't have any plastic part between pickups and body and it has already a bigger hole than the dimension of single coil.

Do you think it's possible to put the single coil directly to body in wood?

Thanks, bye

The Duncan Custom Shop can make you a strat sized single coil under a humbucker cover. Another option might be the Phat Cat, which is a P-90 made to fit in a humbucker cavity.

As far as putting aregular single in a humbucker rout, I've seen it done, but it's not pretty. :blackeye:

Thanks for your answer!

Why "Seymour Duncan® JBTM TB4 Humbucker" cannot be find into this site?

You're welcome. :)

The JB TB4 Trembucker is just a JB with polepice spacing for a Floyd Rose or Fender style tremolo tailpiece. Cost is usually around $70. I like the JB in my friend's hardtail Carvin. It has strong output with an emphasis on the high-midrange frequencies. there are soundclips and descriptions at the products page on the SD website.

Thanks for answers. :burnout:

Does SD single pickup at about 60$ have a bigger noise than an hambucker? It's true that single coil have a more real sound since hambucker cut some parts of sound? I think single coil has a rawer sound than hambucker due to this.

Does SD produce active pickups?
