Exchange policy on pups by international dealers?

I live in Singapore and I was shocked when the official SD dealer (Davis guitars) informed me that they do not exchange sold SD pups even if they are unopened. Is the 21 day exchange policy only valid in the US?

I'm just slightly concerned that I have no option but to sell off the pickups if I do not like them and then return to the dealer to try a new set (after waiting for over a month for the next shipment).

Anyone with similar experiences?

In some countries the distributor honors it, in others they don´t. Luck of the draw.

Some dealers even offer it even if the distributor doesn´t, kudos to those dealers at this opportunity
