Does anyone know what it would cost to extend or replace lead wire on a two conductor pickup (braided wire). Would I be able to solder extra wire to the braided and the hot without it affecting tone?
I would remove the tape from around the bobbins and replace the leads where they attach to the pickup wire. That might be easier than trying to extend single conductor braided wire.
