EZ Drummer Test (thrashy!)

DankStar

Her Little Mojo Minion
Picked up EZ Drummer a few days ago. Did a quick test last night using it, some free Groove Monkey loops, Amplitube guitars & bass, and Garageband (not my typical setup). Just wanted to get a feel for the program.

I dig the kit. I thought it would have a few more usable loops than what I found, but it's a start. The fact I ran right to Groove Monkey isn't a good sign, huh! I'll probably have to just build my own anyway if it's going to fit my songs.

I've been listening to a lot of Rigor Mortis lately, hence the constant fast beat.

Re: EZ Drummer Test (thrashy!)

thanks daemon!! wish I could have used your crazy pickup that has a strong enough magnet to pull satellites out of orbit.

I'll fine-tune stuff for the real deals, but I think it'll work for me for my next several tunes.

Hahaha ,yeah i had another sattelite crash on my house last night :D
Man that sounds really good to my ears...The rawness is pretty allright for me ,since the riffage and drum sound fitts perfect together.
I think the EZ will make you happy...

That sounds very good. Could use more 'pop' on the snare.

How is midi editing done? Is there a nice drum programming interface, or is it just a plug-in into garageband?

I really hate programming drums in garageband....but I get decent results. I've been looking to streamline the process.

thanks! I didn't really audition the other 2 snares. I think there's a piccolo one in there that might have more pop - I'll try it out.

I tried to do a little midi editing in GB, but the window is small and clunky . I'm going to figure out how to do it in logic express and use that program instead; someone on the net told me it's better for editing, so we'll see. GB seems more for just going in and deleting a note here and there, not more elaborate editing (unless I'm not doing it right).
