F/S 1996 Fender Lone Star Strat

This is all original with the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge and Texas Specials in the middle and neck positions. It is a 50th Anniversary (of Fender not of the Stratocaster) and has a gold Fender 50th anniversary emblem on the back of the head stock (1946-1996). This guitar is in excellent condition (less the missing volume knob which I lost). It comes with the original case which is just starting to see some wear on it. I am looking for $600 shipped for this. Thanks!

Probably not but I'll entertain the temptation - what is it that you have to trade?

I appreciate it but I have too many guitars as it is - including a Les Paul. But thanks for the offer.

that's a gorgeous guitar, and I've always wanted a Lonestar strat....and it's the color combination I've always wanted...but damnit I just can't justify another guitar while I've got all I've got....sorry, don't mean to piss into the wind with you, just admiring a beautiful guitar that I wish I could buy (i*as ideas start racing through my head about how I could justfity it*)

I honestly don't know - maybe someone more knowledgeable than I about such things (this pretty much narrows it down to the rest of the forum population) could answer that. I do remember hearing that the pearly gates in the lone star was some how different - it sounds great, I do know that.

It is. It is a completely different pickup from the PG. Those Texas Specials are sweet for cleans, thick as Mississippi mud.
