I know I won't be able to compete on that 22, but I'd love to grab some 45!

Toss a bid on the 22 anyway. If you don't win, you'll help me get more money for it. ;) Shipping to IL won't be too expensive.

Don't happen to have some 10mm you are parting with do you?

I can't wait for the madness and panic buying to stop. Price gouging for ammo is getting ridiculous.

Saw that auction had no idea it was yours, will watch and see where it goes thanks.
One question what is the impact stuff never heard of it?

The Impact ones are based on the original 10mm FBI loads, supposed to be heavy hot stuff.

Is it still considered price gouging when you put the stuff up for auction without a buy it now/reserve price and letting the market set the price?

Cheaper Than Dirt is selling 9mm for $60+/box of 50 for real crap non-reloadable ammo. That, to me, is gouging. As is people lining up at Wal-Mart and stocking up with intent to sell at a huge markup. Those people are easy to spot, they'll come on the gun forums with 0-5 posts, all in the "for sale" listings. I've got over 2000 posts on my local gun forum.

I've had most of this ammo sitting in my cabinet since mid-2008. (Easy to tell seeing the sticker prices on the boxes being a bit lower than the current prices. ) I just decided to sell off half of my stash and chose a time when I knew I could get my money back on it.

I wasn't directing my comment towards you my friend, though I see how it probably looked that way. Seeing your thread just brought to mind my hatred for the price gougers. CTD and other retailers are definitely offenders. It's just ridiculous. The panic buyers are really to blame though. Them and the people buying up all they can because they think they can turn it for profit. It's those type that I can't wait to see fall flat on their face.

Yeah, I had a conversation with a guy I sold a gun to yesterday, and he said that I was a good guy and did it right. ;) Am I making a profit? On some of it, I am. But I could have made a bunch more spacing it out and putting higher prices and a buy it now on each one. Just didn't have any interest in doing it. I just figured I'd lighten the load to move (as I have to drive all of this stuff across the country) and get some money to help pay for the move at the same time.

It's already starting to happen. Just in the last couple weeks I've seen shops post AR15's at their normal $750 price range. Parts are finally coming back into stock at normal prices. One of the shops just north of here bought 25 cases of Pmags thinking he was going to retire off of it.....back down $14.50 a pop because he can't rid of them. I finally found a bolt carrier for my .450 Bushmaster at a reasonable price and I'll be able to finish it for under $300 instead of the $700 I was thinking it was going to take...which is awesome!

Ammo is going to take a while to get back down to normal...if it ever does go back to where it was....Which was borderline rape in the first place. Most of the big guys like Winchester, Remington, Speer, and Hornady are working at capacity 24/7 and are still having a hard time filling orders. I see people all the time paying $15+ for 20 rounds of steel cased 5.56 and 7.62x39 and those usually run around $5 per box when prices were sane. Some sources are saying it's going to be at least a year before the ammo manufacturers get caught up. You can't even find hand loading supplies. Especially primers. I'm still baffled by this .22 nonsense though. That I truly don't understand.

Problem I am running into is finding 9mm mostly and .308/7.62 is pretty scarce as well, but .45 and .223/5.56 has been pretty easy. Thankfully there is a monthly "Gun Show" in Denver and you can find pretty much whatever you want that is legal. I've got a dozen PMags for my AR-15 and 5 20 Round Factory FNAR Mags for my .308/7.62 so Colorado F'd Up July 1st High Capacity Magazine Ban isn't really a concern. Would love to see that appealed/contested but it is what it is for now.

People are trying to save money by practicing with .22, and then the price ends up being the same per round as 9mm used to be.

So it's the real NORMA Spec 10mm not the wimpy glorified +P .40 stuff you normally buy off the shelf today? Hmm will take a look at what info I can find on that round now thanks!

Yup, that's what it's supposed to be. 220gr and fairly hot.

Last day for this stuff:

http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?IncludeSellers=1106801

Some of the ammo only has one bid so you can snag a deal.
