Faded Flying V with 3 Mini-Hums

So I kind of know that I am getting a Flying V Faded for Christmas. OK, I opened up the large guitar-shaped box that my wife 'hid' in the closet and there's a Flying V Faded in there. Now I have a month and a half to think of sweet things to do to it. What do you all think about putting 3 mini-humbuckers in it? Never seen that before. Maybe a Seymorized, Vintage AND custom?

I would be less worried about sweet things to do for the guitar, and more worried about sweet things to do to your wife. How about a day at a spa, and go with her, get all the pedicures and everything, that shows some balls.

Yeah definately get her something just as nice if not better!

I pretty much hate having a middle pickup, gets in the way of my picking. But two Mini-Hum's or even better two P-90's for a sort of "Flying V Classic" sounds badass.

Yes. I think you should buy your wife a Gibson Explorer Pro. And change the pups.
And THEN change your V's pup's into minibuckers.

That's a hell of a wife you got there. I would love a gift like that!

The pickups I'd want would be a Seth Lover neck, Phat Cat bridge in the middle, and a Custom Custom bridge pickup. Vintage, P-90, and hot Alnico 2 tones...perfect for a crunchy hard-rock V.

They won't fit into humbucker mountings, obviously, but I think the rings for the minis might have the right size to fit into a non-ring humbucker mount in a pickguard.

Knowing women, don't be fast to change the pickups on it. Let her believe for a while that the guitar is perfect as is, unless you want her complaining that nothing is ever good enough for you.

Like the others said, save the money and buy her something nice

Usually when someone says that his/her friends gave them something I say "I wish I had your friends." or something like that. Haha I'm not itching to get married. Nice gift though. 3 mini hums would be cool. Be sure to thank her back
