fairly good deal on an almost new strat

here's what looks like an almost new strat for $550:

I called, and they said it has Texas Special pickups, but it doesn't look like a TS model to me??? I think they could've been wrong about that - I think the regular pickups are better anyway

anyway, it still has the stickers, and it's $550 - seems like a decent deal

If I were interested, I'd ask 'em how much it weighs, etc, etc ...

I noticed the hardtails the other day, but didn't really look at 'em, since I play trems

my only comment on that one is that there was a thread on the FDP forum regarding some of the older American models that had a veneer, and one of the signs is a back contour that's all black, like that one :blackeye: ....
I think Fender moved to solid wood on all their current strats - at least, that's what they advertise

but, as I've said, those guys are a great dealer
